Message | Proportional representation will not be significantly effected, there will simply be more useless politicians draining the national coffers. A reduction to 75 would be both more economical and more logical. |

Message | Correct me if I'm incorrect. Right now seats are apportioned by canton. With the five cantons having between 74 and 105 seats with that statistical average being 85. Under the new law each canton would have an average of 100 seats to apportion with between 85 and 125. 500 is a nice number because unlike 425 you don't need to round up or down. The regional percentage can give you the exact number of theoretical seats. Though because of our preference of "a proportional algorithm that gives a very small advantage to larger regions" maybe Gilzon might get an extra seat (though from what I can tell with 425 things actually end up working in the opposite direction). I'd say 500 is a good round number and a very good one to use. |

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life brand names (eg. Coca Cola, McDonalds, Microsoft). However, in the case of military equipment brand names it is permitted to use simple number-letter combinations (eg. T-90 and F-22) borrowed from real life, and also simple generic names, like those of animals (eg. Leopard and Jaguar). |
