Details
Submitted by[?]: Plato's Republican Party
Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: March 2457
Description[?]:
It is the opinion of the PRP that the time is right for a fresh examination of the state of Sekowo's environment, the changes being brought on by urban and industrial development, and the manner in which the human, animal, and floral populations may coexist. To this end it is the purpose of the bill to introduce the following four resolutions which we feel will help to combat environmental destruction, improve the health of Sekowans, and reinforce our nation's infrastructure. Firstly, this bill proposes the establishing of Government-financed recycling centers across the nation while additionally requiring all industrial recycling to be disposed of properly at a shared cost between the industry and the government. Secondly, this bill calls for the moving of all waste disposal responsibilities into the hands of the government, so as to ensure that all waste is disposed of properly and timely. Third, this bill proposes the creation of several subsidies and tax relief opportunities for the nuclear energy generation industry. Nuclear power is clean, safe, and efficient, and with the proper methods the small amounts of waste generated can be disposed of safely. Finally, this bill will establish new environmental standards to which all industries must adhere. It is the hope of the PRP that these proposals will help to create a more sustainable economy, a less environmentally-impacting industrial sector, and a greener, cleaner Sekowo. |
