Message | We proposed this ages and ages ago, and it was our opinion that public officials, as representatives of the government, should not be seen to endorse any religion. But it was voted down and there were some good arguments against it, so we haven't pursued it since. However, we approve. |

Message | Religious affiliation does not necessarily mean the individual will work against the interests of our citizens. There has to be some trust in our officials at some point, besides we can regulate what is acceptable or not in the course public duty without bringing to the fore a religious argument. |
