Message | Allowing research into this field will create new high-tech jobs and new nuclear solutions both in weaponry and engineering. Also, our technology cannot stay behind when the world is developing their nuclear offensive capacities. One day, they may threathen to use it on us if we do not surrender to their demands, and all we can do then is comply. We must have the knowledge, at least, to be able to build suffisticated weaponry when the time requires it. |
Date | 16:51:25, September 20, 2007 CET | From | Communist Workers' Party | To | Debating the Nuclear Technology Act |
Message | We agree that while it is unthinkable for us to use nuclear weapons it never hurts to have the knowledge of them so that our enemies don't perceive us as an easy target to push around. |
Date | 16:53:25, September 20, 2007 CET | From | Green Communist Party of Kazulia | To | Debating the Nuclear Technology Act |
Message | Nuclear energy is not good for the military or for the civilians! |
Date | 04:15:28, September 21, 2007 CET | From | Demokratisk Pacifist Partiet | To | Debating the Nuclear Technology Act |
Message | I'm iffy on this one, if only because we cannot predict if research into nuclear weapens may lead to valuable knowledge such as more efficient nuclear power. I don't like the idea of having Kazulia develop nuclear weapon designs, but if it has the potential to keep us out of war by making us appear to be a harder target than nations who have no nuclear weaponry development to speak of, I guess I'll have to accept it. |

Random fact: Periodically, it is a good idea to go through your nation's Treaties and arrange to withdraw from any that are unwanted. |
Random quote: "The great economic, social and political scientist, Karlstein Metz, accurately predicted over 2,500 years ago that capitalism is doomed to destruction by its inherent weaknesses and contradictions, and must inevitably be replaced by a communist form of social, political and economic organisation." - Friedrich Pfeiffer, former Dorvish politician |
