Bill: Muzalkas Suicide Investigation Proposal
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Socialist Movement
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2098
Description[?]:
"A mass suicide has been reported in Muzalkaz. A cult known as "Hobrazia's Children of God", led by infamous zealot Norbert Anderson, was found in their usual meeting place, with all 82 members dead." The USM would like to propose an investigation into what happened in Muzalkas, as we regard this mass suicide and tragedy as occouring under suspicious circumstances. We cannot afford to see another tragedy happen like this which may be preventable, or responsibility to be put on one person or group. I hope other parties agree with this. Our thoughts go out to those affected by what happened here. |

Message | I agree. This was what I was referring to when I tried to pass the bill that only "recognized religions" may set up a private school. It's a tragedy. |

Message | I stand by my views on recognised religion. This is will be an independant secular enquiry to determine the motivation and causes of death. |

Message | We would like to point out to the L-PU that there is nothing about this that states that "The Children of God" are not a recognised religion. We do, however, agree with our right honourable collegues that an investigation should be instigated into this religion and the circumstances pertaining to the death of these people, though we would like to point out that as long as only those who are members of said religion were killed by their own hand, then regulation of religion, nor attempts to ban individual religions for their beliefs, should be entered into unless it can be proven that these religions are problematic to either the Country or others within or without said religion. |

Message | I thought the term "cult" was used to describe fringe groups and religions. If it was recognized the word cult would not have been used in my opinion. |
