Message | This will encourage crime, not stop it. We oppose this bill 100%. |
Date | 21:50:07, September 25, 2007 CET | From | AM Radical Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Gun Reform |
Message | Article 1 we are somewhat in favor of, but #2 is just as offensive as the current policy. |

Message | Alright, so we changed #2. Satisfied? As to the DWP's statement, Switzerland has mandatory gun ownership, and mandates all adults to carry weapons when leaving their homes. And you know what? They have a lower crime rate than almost all nations in the world! |

Message | Excellent choice, we are now prepared to support this bill. |
Date | 16:39:03, September 27, 2007 CET | From | Commonwealth Workers Army | To | Debating the Gun Reform |
Message | We are confused by the comments of the Libertà Parti. We are familiar with nations all over Terra, and have never heard of this "Switzerland' cited as an example. |

Message | OOC: The low Swiss crime rate is better attributed to the rurality and sparse habitation of the country than to its mandatory gun ownership. Switzerland also has one of the highest suicide rates in the world - most commonly by means of gun. |
Date | 08:05:10, September 28, 2007 CET | From | Permissive Social Union | To | Debating the Gun Reform |
Message | OOC: DWP, the AMSUDP is (gently) pointing out that 'Switzerland' as a nation does not exist in Terra, and therefore in the context of the debate can't really be used as an example. 'Real life' nations are unknown within the game :) IC: The LFF has never heard of Switzerland, however that said, we have not heard of or really care for any of the nations apart from our native land and neighboring entities that are rightfully part of our empire, such as Telamon, Valruzia and particularly Keymon. |
