Message | You see, this isn't a "compromise." A "compromise" is when both sides give up a little of what they want in exchange for getting a little of what they want. A bill to end unemployment and disability benefits by itself therefore isn't a "compromise," because it just gives the right wing everything it wants, and it gives the left wing nothing it wants. But combine the abolition of unemployment and disability benefits with a mandatory living wage, and that's a "compromise." |
