Bill: Energy Production Reform Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Pan-Sekowo Freedom Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2462

Description[?]:

Why is our government bearing the cost of the energy industry, when the private sector is capable of doing it, and providing more competitive prices to consumers? In much the same way outlawing private schools was overly restrictive, outlawing private energy companies seems to restrict the freedoms of our economy. Why not let the private sector try and provide energy? Market Forces will make their prices competitive, and we can use our price restrictions in case they don't. This way our nation can save money, create another growth industry (boosting our economy) and provide more freedom to entrepreneurs. More freedom in the energy market place would also be a great way to stimulate employment and investment, providing further boosts to our economy, while ensuring all our citizens can have cheap power.

MessageEnergy is an incredibly important key industry that everyone uses and thusly must remain in the hands of the people, not corporations who charge for its use.
