Message | There is no reason to have recognize a profession that contributes nothing to society and that is very dangerous. It's rediculous. |
Date | 02:32:12, September 29, 2007 CET | From | Kirlawan Popular Front | To | Debating the Prostitution Bill |
Message | It is more dangerous when pushed underground. When regulated, STDs are less of a problem because the use of condoms is enforced. The women who work are not subject to the whims of pimps, the whole thing is far less seedy. The thing about prostitution is that we will never get rid of it, it's not called the 'oldest profession' for nothing - it will always be with us. With that in mind, we have two choices - accept reality and deal with the effects, or deny reality and pretend that passing a law will make it go away. We choose reality. |

Random quote: "A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." - Thomas Jefferson |
