Message | "The Liberty Party believes in individual responsobility and law and order. If ID cards are avaliable on a voluntary basis and asist the enforcement of laws, the Liberty Party doesn't see any reason to reget this system" ~Liberty Party Spokesman |

Message | OOC: Is this like interstate passports or like the Real ID program? |

Message | Since these passports are on a voluntary basis, they are more like interstate passports. |

Message | I have the feeling that this could be abused easily - Zeno |

Message | In what way? Identity cards will only be printed on demand by the specific person. |
Date | 17:21:10, September 29, 2007 CET | From | Stoic Party | To | Debating the Identity card offers |
Message | But it does give grounds to tracking citizens movements through the country and is form of spying, even though voluntary. |
Date | 17:35:00, September 29, 2007 CET | From | National Authoritarian Movement | To | Debating the Identity card offers |
Message | Well, a passport contains only these information, the state already knows (like name, date of birth...) |
Date | 18:02:11, September 29, 2007 CET | From | Libertad Party | To | Debating the Identity card offers |
Message | "While we do believe that this would aid in the tracking of future criminals, the fact that it is voluntary means that any desiring to be a criminal may just refuse to get one, negating it's effects. Therefore, we think ID cards should be either mandatory or not provided." - Donovan Christoph |

Message | Well, if that's the common opinion, then we should handle passparts as a mandatory. I mean, there's nothing serious about a passport. The state will need it in several cases and I dont see any risk of abuse by a state like Zardugal. |

Message | "It is not the state that we fear will abuse the system, but rather the people who make up the state." - Donovan Christoph |

Message | OCC: Since these things are voluntary, I'm treating them like inter-state passports. Only someone who needed to be tracked and monitored for travel reasons, and one who'd permit that through requesting a card would be affected by this measure, and in a positive way. I'm libertarian to the bone and I see no problem with this. |

Message | Furthermore, I don't see how this could be "abused". |
