Bill: More Seats in Parliament
Details
Submitted by[?]: Progressive Liberal Coalition
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2099
Description[?]:
We, the Sultan's Loyalist Party , feel it necessary that we increase the number of seats in Parliament as the people demand a big government. We can discuss and appropriate number before we vote on it. Our suggestion is maybe around 500 since there are so many parties now. We will also agree to a higher number. |

Message | When the people require 'big government', that does not mean a big assembly, it means a great amount of government control. We do not believe that a proposed increase is necessary, and 500 is certainly far too large. |

Message | Well then I propose we lower it at 300 then? |

Message | This is more acceptable, but still difficult to support - three years ago we were 100, we're now at 150, now up to 300 - when does this unnecessary expansion end? |

Message | Well a lot has changed in 3 years... We have 8 parties now, as opposed to only 3 when we moved it up to 150. |
