Bill: Housing Act of 2462
Details
Submitted by[?]: 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2464
Description[?]:
While the DSP believes in providing public housing for those who can not afford housing, we believe that people should be give the choice to buy there own house to do with as they please should they so want to. This would not only help to strengthen our economy by boosting the construction industry, but it would also satisfy the government libertarians by making them feel better about themselves enough to keep them from forming protests all the time. Therefore the DSP proposes that the state contract with private companies to provide public housing, but also allow private housing for those who wish to pay for it. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government policy regarding housing.
Old value:: The state owns and maintains all housing.

Message | The housing available is adequate, you do have to pay to upgrade it though. More than anything, for us this is a matter of terminology. We are'nt against the government providing all housing, but rather the government owning it all. |

Date | 10:08:05, October 02, 2007 CET | From | Plato's Republican Party | To | Debating the Housing Act of 2462 |
Message | Plato's Republicans feel that bringing contractors into the housing industry would simply be creating an unnecessary middleman whose primary concern is with cost rather than quality, which could lead to a drop in comfort rather than an increase in choice. As it stands the Government, answering directly to taxpayers, is concerned with the people's desires first and foremost. We believe that the current housing system is fine as it stands. |
