Bill: Secondary Power Plant Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Pan-Sekowo Freedom Alliance
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2463
Description[?]:
A more moderate version of an earlier bill. Under the new law, if passed, all citizens would still have the option of having free energy, yet those who wished to start up a power plant would be free to do so. This would stimulate our economy, while still allowing the government to provide free/low cost power and energy to anyone who wants it. it would also allow the pribvate sector to use its inventivness to search for new energy sources, to differentiate itself from the public power plants, something that could lead to new and better technology. A win win for all involved. |
Proposals
Article 1

Old value:: All power stations are publicly owned.

Proposed: Small scale private electrical generation is permitted but most energy is generated by a government-owned company.

Message | Are power stations not the things that transfer energy from one area to another? We're voting no for political reasons more than anything, though perhaps in the future, given enough support we could vote yes for such a bill. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
