Bill: Budget proposal of October 2462

Details

Submitted by[?]: Stoic Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2463

Description[?]:

The Stoic Party propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the United Provinces of Zardugal.

Same bill as before, I am sure we can get this passed, last time we just didn't have the delegate turn out, but hopefully this will change this time around.

This is dire, we are running up a debt and citizens are being taxed to great hights and still cannot pay our current budget.

If we can get this budget passed finally we can create a tax cut and make all those deregulations of industry useful, both I and the people of Zardugal will thank you.

MessageThe reason that I am lowering the spending so much and in those areas is because right now we do not provide, healthcare, welfare, we don't substidize farms or business, nor give out science grants.

We dabble a little in infrastructure and justice, but the main thing this government is set up to do is defense, internal, and education.

The problem is, we are putting all this money into areas that see no return, we tax citizens at upwards of 85% of their pay, yet still only come up with 659 billion, we are running a debt.

If we can cut spending we can give a tax cut to the citizens, this will increase the overall quality of life and stimulate economic growth.

MessageWell it is a buffer in case something goes wrong, we don't a natural dissater to happen and not have any money for food.

We can always lower it later if it doesn't prove useful.

MessageThe science and technology and trade cuts are much too harsh. Present us with the same budget and more leniency in those two areas and we will approve.
