Bill: Alcohol and drugs
Details
Submitted by[?]: Pan-Sekowan Fascist Front
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2463
Description[?]:
Do we really want our citizens to kill themselves with alcohol and drugs? Even the children are allowed to get wasted which is very dangerous for our future. Children's bodies are unable to cope with large quantities of alcohol and it can cause serious health issues. Drugs should be completely forbidden, the level of addiction they cause is shocking. Let's thrive for a more sober, more active Pan-Sekowo where people can have fun without being under influence. |

Message | Making a thing illegal does not make that thing disappear. The purpose of legalization is to bring these controversial items under Governmental control. As for age, while children are technically allowed to drink alcohol and use drugs, these things are not free. From a practical standpoint we in the PRP feel that children largely do not use drugs or alcohol because they have no way of getting them except from an adult. We feel that this helps to encourage independence, while the openness of society and the variety of brands and effects helps to encourage critical thinking in a real-world setting. Children are not simply thrust into a world where they can get away with anything. Parents, family, and friends all play roles whose importance cannot be overstated. If a 14-year-old wants to drink beer then they will drink, and by making it legal we rid the nation of unnecessary stigma, guilt, and confusion. We make it acceptable to discuss such topics as alcoholism and substance abuse openly without shame, and allow anybody who feels they have problems to seek help. We take the resources other nations spend seeking out and prosecuting citizens and direct them towards educating and helping ours. |

Message | "hurting others feelings are irrelevant." It is good that the real DSP is stepping up from behind all the lies of "better world for everybody" |

Message | A better life for everyone has to do with the physical and making sure everyone is free, can participate in the democratic system and lives comfortably. It has nothing to do with peoples feelings. The DSP refuses to allow such a nanny-state. |
