Bill: National Security Act 2463
Details
Submitted by[?]: Pan-Sekowo Freedom Alliance
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2463
Description[?]:
Our nation is a glorious one, providing many free services to our citizens, and asking very little in return. In times of war, let our citizens be obliged to defend the many freedoms they enjoy. If our nation is under threat, we want the government to have as many options as possible to call on to protect it, and the option to call up a civilian army is one that could save our nation. Also, with the threat of war in the future, let our security and intelligence system be stronger, so that we can better detect and combat threats to our nation. |

Message | While we in the PRP agree with Article One, we do not agree that the only option for national service should be martial. We believe in allowing people the choice to serve the country in the military or the civil service. |

Message | PRP, the idea of the bill is simply that people "CAN" be called into the military. People can still choose during peace time, as well they should, but during times of war, when it is absolutly nessesary our nation has a large a civilian army as possible, this law gives the government the option of calling people into specifically military service. The bill is designed to be a safe guard. |

Message | Unfortunately, because the proposals are so narrowly-defined, this bill would eliminate the whole mandatory civil or martial service during peacetime thing. While we agree that it is an important option to have, the PRP feel that in times of war there will be more than sufficient numbers of volunteers ready and willing to fight for Sekowo without coercion from the Government. |
