Bill: Farm SizeBill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Pan-Sekowo Freedom Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2464

Description[?]:

A bill to allow local governments the decision about what to do regarding farm size in their area. Farm size is a large part of a regions ability to produce food, and due to Sekowo's vastly different climate in different areas, our policy towards farm size should reflect this variety. The best way to do that is to give local governments the power.

Basically I'm just gonna see what affect it has on my position, and if it's for the worse, I'll wait 5-10 years and propose a bill reversing it, if it passes.

MessageIn order to ensure consistent and high quality crop yields the PRP feel that agriculture should be overseen by the federal government, rather than local governments. Simply because agriculture is a national concern doesn't mean that we blindly mandate that all farms everywhere must be identical. Many people seem to have this idea that if something is mandated by the federal government that it must be too broad-minded and allow no room for flexibility. We disagree.

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections.
