Bill: Prisoner of War Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Workers' Party and CTUL List

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2464

Description[?]:

This bill proposes to put a final end to the debate over what to do with Prisoners of War, and aims to be the final eradication of any form of slavery in Likatonia.

While the bill will not return Prisoners of War to their country of origin to be inhumanely re-equipped and sent back into the war zone, the bill proposes retaining all prisoners to be treated compassionately and in a humanitarian fashion - as we would wish our own captured soldiers to be treated - until a) peace is duly agreed with the respective country, b) an agreement is reached with the respective country to return the prisoners, in a negotiated transfer/exchange.
