| With our extensive colonies, we need a sufficient garrison for each, both to keep order and to serve as at least a piecemeal defense in case of war. The current army is 509190 strong, and we have a reserve of 381893. Taking these into account, we hereby propose as the minimum garrisons of each colony: The SCP proposes supplying the Eastern Territories with 30,000 soldiers, to be stationed mainly along the coast of the Sea of Karina. Given the closeness of the Eastern Territories to the Federated Cities proper, a small garrison is sufficient. The SCP proposes supplying the Midway Territories with 50,000 soldiers, given the unlikely event of an internal revolt or the possibility of foreign invasion by imperialists. The SCP finally proposes supplying the Federal Protectorate of Tropica with an additional 56,000 soldiers, to better its defence, and noting the current difficulties with Beiteynu, we feel such a number is merely security. |
