Message | "He can walk, he can borrow some money from friends, he can get a life from friends, he can use the resources of free charitable job finding services, we don't need to waste tax payer's money on him." ~Brad Lunarfield OCC In Australia, we have a massive unemployment benefit that, along with sucking the money in my wallet, brought there by hard work and a job created by capitalism dry to pay for some lay-about's lunch, actively searches for employment and makes sure the individual is searching too. Since it's a public initiative and ultimately destined to fail (currently,"Centrelink" is ridiculed among Australians for it's inefficiency and blatant stupidity) many private charities have sprung up, helping people find work. Don't underestimate the power of human altruism. |
