Bill: Weapon Concealment and Police Protection Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Cooperative Commonwealth Federation
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2467
Description[?]:
We believe in the Kazulia Independent Party that we need to protect the police officers just as much as we need to protect our average citizens right to assemble. However if a crowd turns violence and turns their attention on innocent civilians or police we cannot stand by and let them act until they tire themselves out. We need to allow the police to disperse such crowds before violence occurs, and if we cannot past legislation to do so I call on all citizens who have lost loved ones to violent demonstrations to sue parties that vote against such an act. We also need to have weapon openness for such things as a axe, pipe, baseball bat, large weapons that can afflict damage, or death. Finally we need to allow private citizens to own firearms under a strictly regulated system so that if a violent person attacks them on their job (armoured car security) or at their home they have a weapon of choice. However, it is extremely regulated for the fact to prevent weapons from disappearing |

Date | 19:21:58, October 05, 2007 CET | From | Demokratisk Pacifist Partiet | To | Debating the Weapon Concealment and Police Protection Act |
Message | 1: Agreed. Citizens have a right to be protected from violent groups who try to hide their lawnesses under the guise of free speech. 2: I'd prefer for people to have to carry weapons openly, if they must carry them at all. 3: I'd rather make it so that only people who require firearms for their jobs are allowed to own them, although I can't think of many jobs that truly need their workers to be armed. |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
