| Message | Slash the Head of Gov budget by 90% to give more power to more representative bodies. Slightly reduce internal affairs budget to shift money elsewhere. Increase finance funding to ensure a strong long-term economy and well-funded market. Reduce oversized defence budget. Increase infrastructure and transport to encourage internal trade and economics. Increase health and social services in order to care for the economically underpriveliged. Slash massively oversized education budget to allow increases elsewhere. Massively increase environmental funding to keep the environment clean. Massively increase trade and industry funding to create a strong economy. This will give us a budget slightly smaller overrall than previous budgets, and which shifts funding to more appropriate locations. |

| Message | The defense budget would still be 1/4 of our budget, the largest budget section of any by a large margin. This would indeed cut the defense budget, but would NOT make our military weak. We still give more money to the military than virtually any nation on the continent: we are the military superpower here. |

| Message | Some facts: 1. Our total budget is about 2 trillion. Our defense budget, as I propose, would be 550 billion. 2. Our immediate neighbors, the Democratic Peoples' Republic of Kazulia, has a TOTAL BUDGET of 633 billion. Their military budget is 38 billion. 3. The Dual Monarchy of Hulstria and Gao-Soto has a budget of 658 billion, a military budget of 160 billion. 4. The Federated Cities of Pan-Sekowo have a total budget of 287 billion. Their military budget is 35 billion. 5. Our neighbors across the sea, the Republic of Egelion, have a budget of 99 billion. Their military budget is 600 MILLION. 6. The Socialist Commonwealth of New Endralon has a budget of 3 trillion. Their defense budget is 260 billion. Add it all together. 38+160+35+260+0.6. The answer is 493.6 billion. We'd still have a military budget of over 50 billion LARGER than our five nearest neighbors COMBINED. We are the superpower. Nobody can touch us as it stands. If they ALL allied together against us (unlikely!) we would STILL have the economic and funding advantage. Our education budget would also remain one of the largest in the area. In fact, we basically are just better than everyone nearby, except Endralon. Endralon is our only real rival in the area. The point is, this "slash", firstly, barely reduces the actual size of government AT ALL. It's a miniscule change, if at all. What it does is shift funding to more effective areas. |
