Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2468
Description[?]:
As it stands our colonies/protectorates do not have representation in the Federal government. We feel this needs to be rectified as soon as possible. We therefore open up the floor to discuss representation of these areas in the Federal government and in the Legislature. Items of discussion; -Representation in the legislature. -Appointment of the Chancellor and Governor of each region. |

Message | Until such time as the colonies pay taxes, we do not believe they deserve representation. That said, as soon as they are taxed, they will receive representation. As for the appointments of Chancellor and Governor, we are open to suggestion. |

Message | Technically they have to follow our laws, so there is legislation being passed without representation. Anyways, as to the Chancellor and Governor, we've thought of four different ways they could be chosen/elected. 1. The Governor for the regions is selected by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Chancellor for the regions be selected by the Minister of Internal Affairs. 2. The Archon choses them. 3. We vote for them. |

Message | We in the PRP feel that the colonies, despite their current state of non-taxation, should have a clear voice in government, but not a vote. They have legitimate concerns that should be brought to light, but they should have no real power in the governing of Sekowo itself. |

Message | As they become more incorporated, they will have to be given representation, however giving them non-voting representation, and deciding on how to elect the Chancellor and Governor would be good enough until 2480, or until the Squibble area problem is solved, whichever comes first. |

Message | There is legislation, but no taxation. The legislation does not impose undue burdens upon them, and thusly until they pay taxes, representation is undeserved, if by representation one means a vote in the federal government. Non-voting representation, however, is acceptable. |

Message | Because this needs to be done before 2470, I'm going to propose the following things and put it to vote. -Until the Tropica conflict is over, or 2480, whichever comes first, each of the Protectorates shall have 3 non-voting representatives. -Further inclusion of the protectorates into the Sekowan federation, including voting representation will be decided starting in 2480, sooner if the Tropica conflict ends before than. -Until otherwise decided (when the above is debated), the Chancellor and Governor of the Territories shall have terms of six years, and shall be voted on by the legislature. |
