Message | Shall we fritter away scarce government funds on the vanity of soldiers, while our children suffer from lack lof universal education? The CCF cannot agree. |

Message | Ceremonial honor guards will hardly increase the cost of the military as a whole, and serve as a source of national identity. The cost would be nearly negligible. |

Message | Consider that this is a duty that would be rotated through the military. It necessitates no additional troop requisitions, as the personnel are already in place. Moreover, it will raise the morale of the troops, increasing their efficiency. It is a minor cost, for a significant boost to morale, both civilian and military. |
Date | not recorded | From | Cooperative Commonwealth Federation | To | Debating the Presidential Honour Guard |
Message | On the assurance of minimal cost, the CCF will lend its support. It is good to see the government agree to the principle that sometimes funds must be invested in national interests. Hopefully this principle will also hold for other bills in more important fields such as education. |
