Bill: Acte de Démocratie Vrai
Details
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2467
Description[?]:
It's hardly democracy when a local government can choose its mayor any way it wants with or without the consent of its people. This is one topic where we've found the PPK to be utterly deranged and it's a crime against our citizens to have our law the way it is right now. The people should always choose their town leader directly; it shouldn't be left to the whims of local representatives of the people. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The appointment of mayors.
Old value:: Local governments determine the method of appointment.
Current: The Head of State oversees the appointment of all mayors.
Proposed: Citizens elect their mayor directly in a local election.
