The fact of the matter is that the current ban on animal research is not only silly, but hazardous to the health of our nation. If we prohibit animals from being used in medical research, we're accomplishing nothing but holding back discoveries that could save countless lives. At the same time, I recognize that there must be standards in place to prevent needless cruelty to animals used in research. |
