Message | Minister of Finance Urbain Durand: "UCC is proposing a conservative reduction in spending. Each ministry's budget is cut by 1,000,000,000 JEL. This will force each of them to eliminate waste and unnecessary bureaucracy, as well as initiate a reform spirit within the offices of the central government. We need to steer away from allowing our ministries to become bloated and inefficient. This will save 13,000,000,000 per year, which can be saved for a rainy day fund or allow us to provide tax relief in the near future." |

Message | we could support though we think justice and defence should not have their budgets lowered. it's a dangerous world out there waiting to tear us apart. |

Message | We are not sure that is the best way to assign budgets. Some Key Points: 1.Cutting 1,000,000 on 45,000,000 Culture Ministry's budget is different then cut 1,000,000 on 8,000,000 to healt ministry one's. It's 2,5% versus 12,5% reduction. 2.Why the saving is not allocated to Enviroment and Infrastructure Ministries, being that money as fund for rainy day (does it means to refunde rain damages?) 3.Don't you think you are cutting funds to the investments and not reducing expenses? We agree to Defence and Internal Affairs budgets cutting |

Message | In response to the Lib-Gov Party: 1. The new Health budget would be 22,000,000,000 JEL not 8,000,000,000 JEL. We understand your point about percentages, but this is ultimately about promoting government efficiency. Also keep in mind that the "Culture" budget you refer to also includes education. 2. By "rainy day fund" we are referring to a fund that is saved for emergency purposes in the future. 3. We do not understand your question - we are reducing expenses. |
