Bill: National Stability Initiative 5. Ecofascist concord
Details
Submitted by[?]: Permissive Social Union
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2469
Description[?]:
In the interests of a stability in all things, we wish to extend this to the areas of the environment. 1. We see no reason for animals to be confined to zoos. This is interference within the greater natural order and removing vital species from the forests of this country creates an imbalance. 2. Genetic engineering is a crime against nature. We feel that there is no real need for this anyway as Likatonians have been self sufficient with food for many years now. Creating some freak species that may escape into the wild with unforeseen consequences is a gamble that the LFF will not take. |

Message | (1) Opposed; keeping exotic animals in zoos do NOT create an imbalance in animal species b/c the zoos can just simply BREED the animals to excess and then return those excess animals back to the jungle or forest. In the meantime, going to the zoo is an educational experience for the children of Likatonia. You have NEVER been to a 3rd Field trip to the zoo(LOL)? (2) ADAMANTLY opposed; now, the standard argument against GM foods is that they are "Franken[stein] Foods," but it can be logically argued that foods produced WITHOUT genetic modification are VAMPIRE Foods since they literally suck the economic lifeforce out of poor and middle class families as a result of them being excessively expensive. GM technology increases PRODUCTION of food thus enables people to never go hungry. |

Message | We like the first, although the second presents us something of a problem. For the time being, we shall support this agenda. |
