Bill: Stepwise reform of the agricultural sector
Details
Submitted by[?]: Science and Environment Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2471
Description[?]:
All agriculture in Kazulia is currently controlled by inefficent and bureaucratic government rules and ties. Farm production is low and bribes and corruption widespread as well as the missuse and pollution of the land. Mainly this is because our people do neither have access nor responsability to maintain and work the land for future generations. We propose that we start a liberalization of the agricultural sector. Any citizen of Kazulia should have land to use of their own, not only government protegees. Subsidies will only be given to farmers that can prove they develop the sectors production to motivate them inventing sustainable and sensible production methods. |

Message | We are happy with the current arrangements, and distrust any move that may break up the national agricultural wealth, however alledgedly misused, and putting into private hands. |

Message | I think we should have true agrarian reform... Give the farms to the people not the government.. But subsidize them... Us controlling the farms is not true agrarian reform. While I agree we should not let the corporations own them I think we should divide the nations fields into small family run farms with government aid... But to own these farms and run them like slave camps is not socialist at all |

Message | We will go with majority opinion on this Bill, and see if this reform pans out. If not, we will ask the Assembly to reconsider renationalising agriculture in 3 (online) years time. |
