Message | Hm...I have second thoughts about Article 1; ok, it's a military action but will it affect civil rights? (Article 2 is quite reasonable and militaristic, something that kafuristani citizens prefer) |

Message | Article 1 is militaristic, our citizens may like it as well. I don't interpret the proposal as saying that soldiers should be patrolling the streets of our cities alongside the police or actually enforcing the law themselves very often. I just think this would allow the military to be able to respond to serious emergencies more quickly than if they have to wait for an order to assist the police. This would just grant the military permission to help the police whenever the military feels it is needed, without having to wait for an order to do so. So, I don't think this would affect civil rights much, it just lessens the restrictions on the military and its ability to respond to internal disturbances, not necessarily everyday law enforcement. We would just have to make sure our military is led by people that understand how we want them to act. |
