Message | surely that is restrictive?? To say that they cannot work at all? Is there not a "the government has no policy regarding child labour" ?? I would have thought that would suit you better... |

Message | We feel that, as the age of majority is currently 12, a child labour prohibition would only affect an extremely small portion of the labour force. Too small to be considered restrictive. |

Message | They would be legal minors, and supported by their parents or guardians. I would ask what form of useful employment an eleven year old could perform in a modern economy? |

Message | coal mine? :) There are many jobs that they can do. Shop assistants, family business, cleaning and general manual labour. Why give the jobs to foreigners when there are Beluzians willing to do them?? |
Date | 23:16:11, October 16, 2007 CET | From | Beluzian Workers Party | To | Debating the Child Labour Act (2470) |
Message | No one has suggested giving these jobs to anyone specifically, Beluzian or otherwise. Family businesses of this type are generally exempted from child labour laws, so long as the tasks assigned to children are voluntary and non-hazardous. |

Message | Child Labour is fobidden... so children no longer have any freedom to choose. The Liberal Party has taken away a right.... That however is not what concerns me. My concern is now there is a hole in the labour force, who will fill it? Foreigners. |
