Bill: National Education Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Social Dynamist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2039

Description[?]:

The SDP recognises that children are not required to attend school or at least receive tuition from some other source. This is detrimental to them, to our economy and to the future of this country and potentially its neighbours and trading partners. This shocking state of affairs cannot be allowed to continue.

MessageTrue. The other option is only at school. For those currently receiving tuition, the legislation could prove detrimental. Let it be understood that home tuition is not without the obvious conditions that some assessment is made about the quality of education received.

MessageI don't think it should be voluntary. It should be compulsary. Please tell me why its volunary before I decide to vote.

MessageI'd like to point the delegate to the Proposed change, which would make Education compulsary, and await your vote.

MessageI feel that an educational program has to be set so that students can choose to go to school, but if they do not show aptatude to stay in school, then allow them to go to a trade school to learn a trade. If at such time they decide they want to go back to school or college, they can do a GED.

MessageAll citizens should be educated to a certain degree. Whether they wish to pursue higher education further should be their own choice
