Bill: Free The Arms of Justice
Details
Submitted by[?]: Meritocratic Alliance
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2472
Description[?]:
The current law regarding capitol punishment is too restrictive. If capitol punishment is acceptable for some crimes, it should be acceptable to others. Rather than setting out strict sentencing rules for capitol punishment, we propose that such decisions be left up to the justices and juries handling each case, making execution available as viable sentence for any felony depending on recidivism and how the jury regards the severity of the individual act. |
