Message | The Conservatives have no official stance on Abortion, as it is seen as a more Ethics-based debate rather than a governmental policy, therfore we shall support any legislation that the senate desires to make upon it. Article 2 seems to be a reasonable comprimise between putting trust back into the Solentian youth and keeping the purchase of alcohol from being used in an irrisponsible manor. Article 3 is highly controversial, however as a general rule, the wording selected seems to be adequate to solving issues with it. We are however, very much against Article 4 and shall not be supporting free drug use except for medicinal purposes. We inquire as to why the FIP chooses to reccomend Article 5. Was there a problem with the smoking ban implaced by the Labour Party not so long ago? Amanda Beauchamp, Party Deputy, Senate Warden. |
Date | 20:33:04, October 17, 2007 CET | From | Coalition for National Unity [CNU] | To | Debating the Senate Resolution 38: Progression for the Advancement of Citizens' Safety and Civil Liberties Act |
Message | As the FP is clearly still sorting out their bill, we retract our previous statement and shall place a new one when they are finished, hwoever our policies outlined above, still stand. A.Beauchamp, Deputy Party Leader, Senate Warden. |
Date | 21:07:17, October 17, 2007 CET | From | Coalition for National Unity [CNU] | To | Debating the Senate Resolution 38: Progression for the Advancement of Citizens' Safety and Civil Liberties Act |
Message | After reading articles 5, 6, 7 and 8, we oppose. It would seem the FIP do not know what their own policies anymore. Sir Thomas Hill, Party Leader, Supreme President. |
Date | 21:24:57, October 17, 2007 CET | From | Federal Independent Party | To | Debating the Senate Resolution 38: Progression for the Advancement of Citizens' Safety and Civil Liberties Act |
Message | It's called a change in heart and politics Mr. President. As the oldest and longest serving party in the Federal Republic, as well as its founders, we understand the importance of being able to change ideology for whatever the reason it may be. This time it is prompted by the sight of the ugliness of a forsaken ideology. FIP Senate Speaker Thiris Andronicus |
Date | 22:02:44, October 17, 2007 CET | From | Coalition for National Unity [CNU] | To | Debating the Senate Resolution 38: Progression for the Advancement of Citizens' Safety and Civil Liberties Act |
Message | Of course Mr.Speaker, the Conservatives understand changes to policy and agenda, such is expected, however such a radical change from right to left? How odd. Sir Thomas Hill, Party Leader, Solentian President. |
Date | 23:06:10, October 17, 2007 CET | From | Labour Party of Solentia | To | Debating the Senate Resolution 38: Progression for the Advancement of Citizens' Safety and Civil Liberties Act |
Message | We have to agree with the Conservatives on this one, it looks as though the FIP have performed U-Turns on many of their policies. We also don't agree any more with their new ones as we did for their old ones, simply because we know the laws the FIP are now trying to pass, they veoted in the first place. This is something I hope the electorate remembers at the next election, There are only two strong and real left wing parties- the FIP isn't one of them. Alistair Marriot, Labour Party Leader |
Date | 02:34:56, October 19, 2007 CET | From | Workers Party | To | Debating the Senate Resolution 38: Progression for the Advancement of Citizens' Safety and Civil Liberties Act |
Message | We disagree with some of the proposed articles. But at a time in which democracy is under attack in Solentia, we must back this proposal as a whole, in order to resist the erosion of our rights as workers and citizens. |
