Bill: Income tax proposal of September 2472

Details

Submitted by[?]: Catholic Workers Union

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2473

Description[?]:

The first of several tax hikes which will rebuild our social services and restore Telamon's position as a social democracy.

Although our eventual goal is to make sure the progressive tax helps build the classless society and ensure an equality of sacrifice to the community, we feel that we can not achieve our desired tax structure immediately.

MessageWe have more than enough money to spend on things, even enormously wasteful "social democracy," without raising the tax rates.
