Bill: The Protection of Human Life Act
Details

Status[?]: defeated

Voting deadline: December 2473
Description[?]:
Human life is not something that can be perceived as a scientific experiment. Human life is not something that can be pushed around a dish with tweasers in a lab. Human life is not expendible, and human life is NOT a resource. Cloning is a gratuitous abomination - it is an act which not only treats human life as an expendible resource, just another material for scientific experiments, but also an act that plays God and mimicks his creations. It is a grossly unnatural act. The Family First Party believes that human life is not simply a resource - it is not something to be used as material for scientific experiments, and it is NOT something that can be cloned. Cloning human cells only to use them as experiments or as stem-cell tissue is disgusting and disgraceful - it treats human life as if it is of the same moral importance as bacteria. But The Family First Party values every single human life as a product of nature - something that is beyond us and something that nobody has the right to use, misuse, or destroy. Our fellow parties should vote yes for the Protection of Human Life Act if they truly value human life and see it as being of more moral worth than some bacteria in a test tube. |

Message | Human cells are little more than organic tissues floating within a mesh of liquid, they are not sentient life nor are they people. The use of cloning technologies is regulated to not allow the growth of a complete human being, however the use of human cells has allowed medical science to advance to a point where the health of the nation has improved dramatically and continued use seems likely to provide cures for currently incurable diseases. To not allow such use would be foolish. |

Random fact: When your party holds the foreign affairs department, you can create new treaties. However, before writing anything new, it is a good idea to search for existing treaties which already accomplish what you desire. |
Random quote: Henceforth, the current system of first and second class stamps, where the rich can pay to have their mail delivered faster than the poor, shall be BANNED. There shall be only one class of mail delivery, and ALL mail shall travel at the SAME speed for EVERYBODY. There can be no class discrimination in the People's Post Office! There must be the SAME class of mail service FOR ALL! ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
