REALIZING that homelessness is caused greatly by a boosting economy. SPECULATING that landlords and homeowners increase rent and property value to keep up with the changing economy. LEARNING that low wages cannot keep up with the increasing cost of all forms of shelter. CALCULATING low incomes, large families, health problems, addictions, single mothers, and corporate housing adds to the problems. STATISTICALLY shown that more than 1/3 of all homeless are children, and 2/3 of all homless actually have paying jobs. ALLOWING the less fortunate in society to have a roof over their heads. |
