MessageWhy? The other bill works better by actually giving low-income families homes, rather that putting them on government mortgages and rent that never helps but traps families in a dead-end world.

MessageThe problem with the bill submitted by the Socialists is that it expects the government to be providing solutions where the government can not provide a solution.

However, this bill offers a hand-up in a world, by our view, where everyone possesses the same, natural right to become who they can be whether that aspiration is translated into wealth, personality or intellect.

This bill says that our government would rather give you a hand up than a hand out - and that private providers, and a varied choice of them, does every service 100 times better than a government the citizens have no choice in but from which to take.

MessageEasy for the rich capitalist to say, who's never experience a life under 50,000 a year. Next, you'll want to feed me the story "they're poor because they're lazy."

MessageIt should be the experience of a life on a low-income that would motivate one to do better.

Ultimately, this bill endeavours to subsidise rent which is much more cost effective than giving away houses.

And poverty is only about laziness when the one in poverty knows how to get out of it, or at least, lets up on opportunities to better enrich their lives.

The socialist is misguided by thinking that money is happiness and that poverty is imposed upon.

It is impossible. That's why they are poor. 15 million children starve in poverty each year. 2/3 of the world lives poverty each year.

You dirty capitalists talk about the failures of socialism each day, but where are the successes of capitalism? For each one success, I vow to name of 100 failures, as many as I can off the top of my head within 10 minutes of discussion.

I challenge you to a debate. I challenge you, but I know you won't. In your mind, you've got it imprinted into your head that everyone is born equal and free and can get rich tomorrow if they really put their mind to it.
