| So as to guarantee that all peoples of the Imperial Republic are guaranteed a minimum standard of provision, but so as not to make any direct income provided by the Government to be so comfortable as to not encourage people(s) to seek employment, the Government will provide a minimum income guarantee. This guarantee, provided via State benefit, will be provided to all persons who have no support so as to provide them, in conjunction with other State provided minimums, a guaranteed minimum level of subsistence. This income, the make-up of which will be described in detail below, will not be provided for more than 1 year, or for each proceeding 6 months, unless proof can be provided that the person(s) claiming aforementioned benefit is actively seeking means of employment. Proof of seeking employment can be provided by showing evidence of either: a) Actively utilising State provided employment centres, b) Showing responses from recognised industries and businesses of receipt of completed applications. Failure to provide said information on request will result in the immediate revocation of benefit. In regards those unable to work due to disability or some other incapacitating illness or condition, State Benefit will be provided as laid out below plus 10% of total income paid in the form of direct monetary payment upon receipt of proof of medical condition signed by a minimum of two health care professionals plus patients GP. Make-up of minimum income guarantee: 20 HCR income paid directly into bank account, or cheque collected from local employment centre each week, 50 HCR food vouchers collected directly from local employment centre each week. Total income: 3640 HCR per annum. |

Proposed: All adults not supported by another person shall be guaranteed a very basic subsistence income by the government. However, the provision of this is not to exceed a certian period of time.

| Message | We wholeheartedly support. Whilst the Family First Party does understand that some individuals, for legitimate reasons such as serious illness, may need to spend several months recovering without paid work, and that many employers may discontinue their employment during this period. In these circumstances it is important that these individuals are supported by the government, but, as many individuals tend to abuse publically funded welfare systems, it is important that they be given a limit on their government assistance. Many individuals will have no incentive to find work, and will tend to exaggerate their condition to remain on government subsistance. This is a sound piece of legislation and we support 110%. |
