Bill: Repeal of Foreign Marriage Policies
Details
Submitted by[?]: Alorian Free Democrats
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2474
Description[?]:
Considering that the government does not involve itself with marriages or civil unions in any form, the policy to requiring compliance with domestic marriage law is superfluous. We request that it be struck out, equalizing foreign and domestic policies. |

Message | Please do explain how this bill would magically circumvent all other domestic laws, including that little thing about the adult age, because we are just dying to hear it. The fact of the matter is that all this bill proposes is to cut a layer of redundancy from the marriage policy. When there isn't a domestic requirement in place, a foreign one is unneeded. Nowhere does it state that this is a carte blanche to ignore our vast legislative system and throw us into barbarity. |

Random quote: As for rape, of course, that is a direct consequence of the capitalist system of oppression. Capitalism relies on fuelling division and resentment to sustain itself, and so it sets men against women, race against race and so on. Men rape women because they are being oppressed by capitalism, so they take it out on women. Under Communism, there will be no rape, because there will be a full and natural harmony and equality between the genders. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
