Bill: Separation of Church and State

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Workers' Party and CTUL List

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2475

Description[?]:

This bill proposes ending the newly-found entanglement of the Immeressene Church with governmental institutions. The Church ought to have no influence over the state, and the state ought not concern itself with matters exclusive to the internal administration of the Immeressene Church of All Paternity, nor of any other backward religion such as the Sacred Order of the Tears of Termani, or Roaming Catheterists.

Random quote: "Capitalism and communism stand at opposite poles. Their essential difference is this: the communist, seeing the rich man and his fine home, says: 'No man should have so much.' The capitalist, seeing the same thing, says: 'All men should have as much.'" - Phelps Adams
