MessageI am against this.

now you're trying to stop people from owning Parrots.

I think if you two vote for this bill, then you should take @people@ and @hummanist@ out of your party names.

MessageI'm not sure restricting a person's right to own a parrot is is anti-people or anti-humanist. I will check however to see if this would restrict parrots as pets.

MessageY'know what? The phrase "exotic animals" includes many more species than I had first suspected. I've altered the bill's proposal to only regulate the trade. This way everyone can own chinchillas.

If you don't think the government should regulate this trade, consider this: exotic animals can bring with them diseases and plant life foriegn to our soil. This could mess with the ecosystem and such. If you don't believe this is possible I can look up some examples.

In Louisiana for instance, "nutria" have overpopulated and now police and hunters have* to kill them to protect the nature.

Somewhere, I believe in Maine, fishes were released in a lake/river that began populating and puting that ecosystem in jeopardy as well.

Here's the list I'm referencing for exotic pets: http://exoticpets.about.com/cs/resourcesgeneral/a/exoticpetsatoz.htm

MessageI don't like all this big government, centrally controlled regulation.
I'll still vote against this bill, I don't see the need for it in this category.

MessageI would consider this a common sense bill, as all trade is regulated to some degree otherwise it is harmful. Even "free trade" is regulated.
