Bill: Sensible Firearms Bill 2099
Details
Submitted by[?]: Classical Liberal Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2099
Description[?]:
Private firearms policy is one area where libertarianism fails. Legal action, after the fact, is too late for the victim. We thus propose to restrict gun ownership and purchase to adults who pass a basic psychiatric test. This means we will need to monitor gun licenses and keep a register of owners, but we believe it is worth it. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Ownership of guns by private individuals.
Old value:: Adult individuals are allowed to own and purchase guns freely.
Current: Adult individuals may own guns under strict license conditions.
Proposed: Adult individuals may own guns under strict license conditions.
