MessageI disagree, torture is necessary and can work.

We are not here to skin everything they know off their bodies, just the details, when it is gravely important.

*hypothetical situations that may arise in future*

Terrorists attacking us? He knows hideouts and leaders....great, beat out as much info possible.

We're at war? got some POW's? See what we can squeeze out of them to win this thing.

Psycho Murderer hiding bodies? Great beat the info to find where he hid the bodies to put the families tensions to rest.

If we use torture conservatively...there will be no fear and very justified.

MessageWho says they will give correct information? They could easily send us on wild goose chases just to avoid torture.

MessageEventually the person would stop torturing, if they see the person only gives false info.

MessageWe still would have wasted many resources in determining if it was false.
