MessagePresident Humphrey Hooligan defeated Zackary Conley for re-election by a clear majority of more than 1,000,000 votes. The people have spoken - they want Hooligan. As President, Humphrey Hooligan has the duty to nominate a cabinet, and that's exactly what he did.

MessageI think that very few people in this room are in any uncertainty as to our opinion of the current cabinet. How else could it be? We have always opposed the fascists, and any cabinet including them must be opposed by the SLP.

The parties newly swept to power are no doubt eager to get their posts and start governing. The first ridiculous proposals submitted to this house by the President promise little good – the government proposal to poison the populace, the proposal to use imaginary ninja monkeys as our national animal, and a bill on fireworks which the ODBEP thought fit to propose without debate, even tough this house is already burdened by *two* proposals on the exact same subject.

Indeed, we do not only oppose the fascists and raving loonies in this cabinet, but the incompetence that the lead party in it has displayed before even getting its ministers appointed.

The people have voted for a right-wing government, and the SLP is resigned to go into opposition for four years and sell our ideas to the people. We can only wish these parties success and hope that they will maintain an inclusive spirit towards proposals in this house. Regardless of ideology, our Republic needs a government that is strong, competent, and fiscally responsible.

A government with just the Capitalists, the Loonies, the Conservatives and the League would carry 161 seats in this house. A clear majority. Including the Peoples Populist Party brings the
support of this government to 185 seats – a pointless gesture that betrays the will of the people. The PPP was reduced from the largest party in Beluzia to the smallest party. The voters have punished their extremism.

Including the PPP, the political wing of a convicted criminal and terrorist organisation, makes no sense looking at the self-interest of the other parties invited to the government, as the Prime Minister and the ministry of Science, Technology and Agriculture are spoiled on a party that isn’t needed for a coalition. It diminishes their power. Do the Beluzian Conservative Party and the Capitalists really want to sacrifice power, only to be rewarded with guilt by association? As much as we might disagree on some issues, the Conservatives and the Capitalists do not support terrorism –as far as we know – and to include such a rampantly dangerous party in the government puts all Beluzians at risk.

I beg the parties in this cabinet therefore to ask for renegotiation. Beluzia deserves a better deal.

MessageMore sniviling from the greatest loser in this last election? Yes, greatest because I claim a victory in ODB-EP, a fellow right-wing nutjob and N.W.O. member. Where is your proud leftist alliance now, nancy-boy?

MessageContrary to your statement, which is factually incorrect, the PPP is the greatest loser. Your party lost 36 seats, the SLP lost 10. Even the Raving Loonies lost seats to the new political parties.

The Money Now Capitalist Party states publicly that it opposes extremism. It is supposedly against racism, sexism, homophobia and extremism. Allying itself with an openly fascist party like the PPP, a party which is all of these things, would be higly inconsistent. Given their size they also deserve more seats, and again the PPP is not needed to give this coalition a majority.

The PPP seeks to ride its extremist agenda on the succes of more moderate right-wing parties, and we'd loathe to see that happen.

MessageSLP - this is what it feels like to lose. I hope you begin to understand where I came from all those years ago, when you and the other humanist-lefty nutjobs started your own dictatorial coalition. I hope that you enjoy your sense of loosing and continue to lose in future because the PAL believes that your policies are a disgrace to the floor of the Beluzian Parliament. ODB-EP we humbly thank you for accepting us int your cabinet and the members of parliament under question (Aggie Mann and Dwain Pipe) are most greatful.

Yes if you say those names several times you will uncover the (not so) subtle genius...

MessageAh. Gloating. Way to go, random PAL MP that fails to adress people as a person. Now perhaps you or someone not firlmly attached to the PPP arsehole could adress the actual point being made? This proposal overrepresents the PPP by a ridicilous degree, while they are not even needed for a coalition.

As a matter of fact, we have frequently supported PAL initiatives on their own merits. The PAL has squandered that opportunity now. Don't come to us in the future when the tide turns.

MessageLet's relax now - no more fighting. I chose the cabinet based on who I think would be best for the jobs, not because I want to be dictator of Beluzia. We will gladly hear-out the opposition parties, and we (the ODB-EP) may support some of your bills! We may have proposed a tough cabinet for the left wingers to handle, but they can always attempt to defeat Humphrey for re-election and propose their own.

Thanks.

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost.

Random quote: "It all came from there." - Lech Walesa (pointing to a TV when a reporter asked him why communism fell)
