Message | Articles 1, 6 and 8 are praiseworthy. We intend to overturn Articles 2, 5 and 7, should the Bill pass. Other articles we are either indifferent to, or are low enough down on our priority list to enable our support of this bill. |

Message | We believe that International Media should undergo the EXACT SAME scrutiny as domestic media: that is, NOTHING!!!! I don't know, I was always under the assumption that an unlimited right to Freedom of SPEECH & of the Press was at the cornerstone of a Democracy; I guess I was wrong(haha)!!! |

Message | The CWFP believes that the international and national media should be allowed to print absolute lies? They should be allowed to print paedophilic material? they should be allowed to print 'snuff' pornography? Absolute 'freedom of speech' is a ridiculous concept, if you use it to mean that media should face no scrutiny. As it is - the law says that the media is bound by some fairly relaxed laws... we have fairly liberal laws on exhibition of flesh and sexuality. About the only things we don't allow are absolute lies, and non-consenting sexuality. And the current law holds the international media to those same standards here. Why does the CWFP think we should be allowing kiddie-porn, so long as we buy it from Lodamun? |
