Bill: Phoenix city Act of 2481

Details

Submitted by[?]: 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2481

Description[?]:

My fellow Senators, it pains me to have to be bringing this up for a third time.

To recap, more than thirty years ago the city of Kroton was destroyed by a meltdown in a nuclear power plant, killing hundreds of thousands, injuring even more and making the population of of nearly four million people homeless.

Since than a new city, Phoenix city has arisen 110 miles away (40 miles from the radiation zone barrier), of which the majority of the citizens are from Kroton.

Thusly we ask, again, that the city of Kroton be officially taken off the list of cities, designated a long term federal disaster area and Phoenix city be recognized as a city.

MessageWhile this has passed twice before, it did'nt receive the 2/3 necessary because of parties abstaining.

In essence it's simply renaming Kroton (Lorrod Exarchy) Phoenix city when it comes to the game mechanics, but in RP it's the creation of a whole new city from the literal ashes of an old one, hence its name.

MessageDoes anyone else think that the name is sort of childish? Any place that ends its name in "city" is usually a small town with self-esteem issues.
