Message | Against. |
Date | 20:08:19, August 22, 2005 CET | From | RSDP - Democratic Front | To | Debating the Hunting and Fishing Bill |
Message | For, we must have a national policy. If one town allows hunting throughout the year, that also affects the other towns, even if they banned hunting. |
Date | 20:28:33, August 22, 2005 CET | From | Liberal Imperialist Party | To | Debating the Hunting and Fishing Bill |
Message | Local governments = state governments, not town councils. |
Date | 20:37:53, August 22, 2005 CET | From | RSDP - Democratic Front | To | Debating the Hunting and Fishing Bill |
Message | No, local governments are precisely that: local governments. In the US, people don't refer to their state government as the "local government" do they? Nor do in Belgium people refer to their provincial government as the "local government". And look the constitution template on the Wiki, it clearly states there's a difference between state governments and local governments. And even if this was about state governments, that argument would still go. |
Date | 20:45:52, August 22, 2005 CET | From | Freedom Party | To | Debating the Hunting and Fishing Bill |
Message | This game refers to local governments as state governments. Thats the point the LIP was making I am against this proposal |
Date | 14:29:41, August 23, 2005 CET | From | Radical Freedom Party | To | Debating the Hunting and Fishing Bill |
Message | We will not deviate from the established Freedom Party platform on this issue, and therefore oppose this bill. |
Date | 20:40:00, August 25, 2005 CET | From | Civic Democratic Party | To | Debating the Hunting and Fishing Bill |
Message | The Civic Democratic Party also is opposed to this bill as it limits the amount of local autonomy granted by the government. |
Date | 00:22:41, August 27, 2005 CET | From | Radical Freedom Party | To | Debating the Hunting and Fishing Bill |
Message | With the Freedom Party in dissaray, the remaining Liberty senators vote mostly in favour. |
Date | 15:00:27, August 27, 2005 CET | From | Liberal Imperialist Party | To | Debating the Hunting and Fishing Bill |
Message | *The LIP MPs break into raputurous applause. Elizabeth Windsor addresses Parliament* Congratulations to the Grand Republic, Social Democrat, Veritaserum, New and Liberty Parties for destroying the Rutanian fishing industry. You should feel truely proud. |
Date | 15:53:18, August 27, 2005 CET | From | RSDP - Democratic Front | To | Debating the Hunting and Fishing Bill |
Message | One of the RSDP's members of the Federal Parliament stand ups and adresses the Speaker: "Mr. Speaker, I believe that the Federal President has no right to interfere with the business of the Federal Parliament, I request her speech be struck off the records as a violation of the separation of powers. Mr. Speaker, my honourable colleagues, the Federal President is supposed to be a leader for the entire people, she should not get involved in Parliamentary debate between parties." |
Date | 15:58:11, August 27, 2005 CET | From | RSDP - Democratic Front | To | Debating the Hunting and Fishing Bill |
Message | "And moreover, my honourable colleagues, she is the head of the executive branch of government, which consists of both the GRP and the LIP. Her statement can be easily seen as a withdrawal of Confidence in the Federal Government." |
Date | 16:38:27, August 27, 2005 CET | From | Liberal Imperialist Party | To | Debating the Hunting and Fishing Bill |
Message | "Mr Speaker," said an LIP MP, "the President has every right to address Parliament on mattters which deeply concern her - coming from a fishing family. She has every right to express her personal dissatisfaction at the decisions of Parliament and make her intention to continue to oppose the new law widely known. The RSDP, on the other hand, should stop putting words into Her Excellency's mouth by inferring more from her words than ever existed." |
Date | 16:51:54, August 27, 2005 CET | From | RSDP - Democratic Front | To | Debating the Hunting and Fishing Bill |
Message | "Surely, my honourable colleague, the Federal President must enforce the law and ensure respect for the law, how can she do that if she comes to the Federal Parliament and says "I don't like what you're doing" and even accuses the GRP, a party which is in the Federal Government together with her own LIP, of destroying the fishing industry. By all means she has the right to voice her opinion, but she has not got the right to criticise the Federal Parliament." |
