Message | [OOC]: I don't believe I understand your logic, AMSuDP. Some of the most BRILLANT minds in World history such as Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, etc. were all HOMESCHOOLED!!!! [IC] We are dividing up our educational platform for politcally feasible reasons. In CONTEXT, however, we believe that the Federal Gov't should FULLY compensate parents of Likatonian children with "Elementary Pell Grants" ranging from 572 LIK to 800 LIK per year to attend either a private school OR private TUTORING (if you choose to homeschool). In a nutshell, the CWFP is committed to the idea of UNIVERSAL-but PRIVATE Education for all paid by State. [OOC]: Btw, 572 LIK is the equivalent to $5,000 whereas 800 LIK = $7,000; |

Message | OOC: Abraham Lincoln was 'one of the most brilliant minds in world history? Who told you that? The man who violated more of the constitution than any other president (including the current oilbaron-in-chief) and who said that 'if he could have won that war without freeing a single slave, he would have'? |

Message | OOC: Just because someone is a renowned President does not make them a great mind. In fact, I would go as far as to say that, frankly, it more likely indicates the polar opposite. |

Message | OOC: Well, you two are 100% correct about Lincoln's actions and views etc. However, the point is REGARDLESS of your personal view of him (either from the left or the right), you MUST admit that he was a BRILLANT lawyer, rhetorician, and military strategist. That is IRREFUTABLE and unanimous of nearly historians. Btw, purchase the DVD documentary, "The Presidents: From George Washington to George W. Bush," from http://www.historychannel.com . |

Message | [OOC]: In addition, we can all irrefutably agree that Adolf Hitler was one of the MOST evil men in world history, but then again, he was a manaicial genius in constructing a scheme of world domination. |

Message | OOC: I 'must' admit that Lincoln was a brilliant lawyer, rhetorician and military strategist? No. I think he was a brilliant opportunist maybe... you could even say he was a virtuoso charlatan. I see no evidence of his 'brilliance' elsewhere. |
