MessageFireworks are a hazard; they cause fires and environmental damage, with little utility in return. Too many people are hurt by fireworks each year for this legislature to just ignore. We thus oppose.

MessageWe have to agree with the JUP. Fireworks, large or small, are to dangerous to be used by the general public.

MessageIn that case, we might as well ban them. They are too dangerous for the general public to view because it can cause hearing loss. Yea that's it. We might as well do away with them if people here are claiming that they are dangerous. They are no more dangerous than crossing the street at the height of Rush Hour.

MessageProfessionals are able to control the fireworks in such a way that there is no undue risk to anyone. They can cause hearing loss if a person is up close, and for that reason no person is allowed so close.

Incidentally, we would support local governments choosing to ban private cars in the city, for exactly that reason. That is not a question for the national legislature however.

MessageThe Rightist Party really must explain then. Apparently they are privy to some information regarding explosions that ordinary science is not.

MessageWhen they explode they make a really really loud noise. There have been many a times I have to cover my ears during a fireworks display due to the noise.
